ROCKS SAW PROJECT

PROJECT :

We built a low cost automation system for an automated rocks saw. We used a SIEMENS SIMATIC S7-200 Automation System , Incremental Rotary Encoder fixed on the gearbox and a low cost standard drive, a SIEMENS SINAMICS G110. We achieved a 0.01 mm resolution and precision which is a great result for a rocks saw project.

• SIEMENS SIMATIC S7-200 Automation System, I/O modules (Digital, Analog and Thermocouple) & SIMATIC STEP 7 Micro/Win Configuration Software

• LIKA rotary incremental encoder

• SIEMENS SINAMICS G110 Frequency Inverter

• TD200 Micro Operator Panel
